Rhythms customarily found in the normal human adult when he is relaxed and his eyes closed have a pulse frequency in the seven-fourteen Hz. range and have come to be identified as "alpha" rhythms. Similarly, when a person is aroused and anxious, the rhythms exhibited fall in the 14-28 Hz. range and are known as "beta" rhythms. A normal person in sleep exhibits "delta" rhythms in the 1.75-3.5 Hz. range. Other brain wave rhythms which have been identified by researchers as being associated with various normal and abnormal states of consciousness are: "theta", 3.5-7.0 Hz. and "gamma", 28-56 Hz. Further research has led to the identification and naming of three additional rhythms, namely: "omega", 0.875-1.75 Hz.; "epsilon", 56-112 Hz.; and "zeta", 112-224 Hz.
Specific methods have produced a variety of systems for stimulating the brain to exhibit specific brain wave rhythms and thereby alter the state of consciousness of the individual. So called “trance” states are arrived at through many methods involving sound, such as chanting, drumming, and singing, just to mention a few.
In my 2006 paper on Electromagnetism and the Ancients, after noticing a possible correlation between the architectural configuration of a temple on Malta and a radio frequency propagation pattern, Radio Archeology, to test and measure both transmit and receive propagation properties of pre-historic sites that meet certain specific criteria. This, along with utilizing carrier wave transmitters and spectrum scanning receivers and software, as well as spectrometers and spectrum analyzers, to determine propagation properties, could help determine if they are enhanced by the site locations and/or site configuration and construction materials.
BRAIN PHYSIOLOGY
Wilder Penfield poked an area of his brain with an electric probe. As part of the patient's brain was stimulated, he had the sensation of leaving his body. When another area close by was stimulated, he had the sensation of zooming up a tunnel, and so forth. Ward thought that the area Penfield was probing was the right temporal lobe. He felt that some very interesting experiments could have been conducted had they thought of them at the time. For instance, they might have devised ways to see if these people were really leaving their bodies. Unfortunately, said Ward, nobody thought of it at the time. areas of the brain that, when electrically stimulated, produced out-of-body experiences. At times patients on his operating table would say, "I am leaving my body now," when he touched this area.
The area he was "mapping" was the Sylvian fissure, an area in the right temporal lobe located just above the right ear. When he electrically stimulated the surrounding areas of the fissure, patients frequently had the experience of "seeing God," hearing beautiful music, seeing dead friends and relatives, and even having a panoramic life review.

PATH FINDER
What good can we do in the world?
What are we good at doing?
What makes us feel inspired?
What makes us feel good?
The goals you set determine the steps you will need to accomplish in order to achieve. Not enough time to accomplish all your goals, but if you allow others to work for their own benefit, there's plenty of life-times to go around. By giving education, and career choice, you free up opportunity (and save time), allowing people to be able to focus. Working together on a common goal, where the work has greater value than the individual, the work may become primary, eliminating self, thus death is inconsequential.
Develop a clear purpose in life, wake up every morning feeling great, and knowing how to create meaningful experiences for yourself and those around you, living a rich life full of joy. Making good friends through participation in common interests and pursuing your passions.
CLOSE YOUR EYES
A meditative exercise, an exercise in concentration
To be blind is not to see, so close your 'eyes,' in order to open them. What you don't see can be a lot. Stop looking, and start seeing. Feel your own heart beating, just pay attention, and take the time to notice. Like your breathing, it happens all the time.
One time, I decided to simply close my eyes for several hours when I was a university student. Not as any particular exercise, but just because the idea occurred to me. People were so kind to me. I guess they really thought I was blind, and it made them grateful to have eyes that worked, which we usually take for granted. At the time, I was headed into the cashier’s office, and I had to simply trust the teller to give me the right amount of money from my student loan check. This could have been a risk, but it didn’t worry me overly much, as there were many people around, and any truly blind person would have to go through this all the time. Perhaps they bring a friend with them when dealing with larger amounts of money.
It felt like the girl who was helping me had a kind voice, and was trying to set me at ease. The amount was too large to be dispensed in one dollar bills, but she came around the counter, and made sure that my money was safely tucked into my wallet, letting me know how many bills there were of each denomination. I smelled the money briefly, and could hear her smile at that, then quickly cover it up, so I pretended that I didn’t hear it.
As I was walking away, I was as sure of my money as if I had counted it myself. I felt along the wall for a stairway, noting the texture of the paint, and the smell of each classroom, through the open doorways that I passed. The stairs proved more of an obstacle than I would have thought, and without a cane to feel my way down, I resigned myself to feeling out one step at a time, lest I should fall down the whole flight. 'May I help you?' a voice out of the darkness inquired of me.
It was a blessing, as I had never thought of opening my eyes, and as yet hadn’t had time to develop the independence a blind person might have felt. 'Thank-you so much,' I replied in earnest, and reached out my arm into space, where it was caught gently by a man’s grip, between my elbow and shoulder. He guided me down the steps, and when he didn’t let go immediately, I thanked him again, signaling that I could manage from there. No-one asked me why I didn’t have a cane, nor questioned that I was truly blind. I guess people generally don’t risk walking around with their eyes shut. The wind blew across my face, and I felt the smells riding on it, rather than smelled them, or so it seemed. It was an eye-opening experience, and I kept it up for several hours, managing to make my way off campus, finally opening my eyes when I reached my apartment.
